Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

This policy explains what Cadence and Brand Name Changes Ltd (the data controller) collect, why we use it, and the choices and rights available to you. It covers the Cadence mobile app and this website.

What we collect

Your lyrics and audio

Cadence does not send lyrics, titles, transcripts, audio, filenames, searches or free-form error messages as product analytics. Mic takes remain on the device where they were recorded. Audio leaves your device only when you deliberately export, share or upload it through a collaboration feature; private shared audio is stored in access-controlled storage for the people you share the song with.

Cadence accesses the microphone only for a recording you start. It does not access your contacts or location, and it accesses photos or files only when you choose an item to import or use as cover art.

Analytics and crash-reporting choice

Help improve Cadence is on by default and controls both product analytics and Crashlytics diagnostics. You can turn it off at any time in Settings › Privacy, Data & Help. Turning it off stops new collection, clears pending on-device analytics counters and resets local Firebase Analytics state. Turning it back on records new events only.

We do not set a Crashlytics user ID or deliberately attach your creative content to crash reports. Crashlytics uses random installation identifiers to group affected app installations and retains crash reports and their associated identifiers according to Firebase's service retention policy.

How we use data

We use data to provide and secure Cadence, sync your workspace, manage accounts and entitlements, process collaboration, diagnose reliability problems, understand which product flows work, communicate about your account, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.

Advertising and attribution

The current Cadence app does not include cross-company advertising tracking and does not use Apple's advertising identifier. Product and purchase analytics are used to measure Cadence itself. If we later add cross-app or cross-website tracking, we will update this policy and the store disclosures and request any permission required before collection.

Service providers and international processing

Supabase provides authentication, database, private file storage and product counters; Firebase / Google Analytics provides product analytics and account-identifier deletion processing; Firebase Crashlytics provides crash diagnostics; RevenueCat manages subscriptions and entitlements; Apple and Google provide sign-in and store purchases; and Resend provides transactional email. These providers may process data in the UK, EEA, United States and other locations where they operate, using contractual and technical safeguards.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and synced workspace data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account from Settings › Account & Cadence Pro › Delete account or use our account deletion page. Account deletion removes your first-party workspace and account-linked product events and queues deletion of the same account identifier from Google Analytics. We do not set your Cadence account ID in Crashlytics; its installation-scoped diagnostics expire under Firebase's retention policy. Store transaction records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, portability of, restriction of, objection to, or deletion of your personal data. You may also withdraw a consent where consent is the basis for processing. Email support@brandnamechanges.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Children

Cadence is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum digital-consent age in their country, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Cadence or its service providers change. Material changes will appear here with a new date. Questions or requests: support@brandnamechanges.com.
