This policy explains what Cadence (the "app") and Brand Name Changes Ltd (the "we", "us", the data controller) collect, why, and your rights over it. It covers the app and this website.
What we collect
We collect your email address when you create an account. Your songs — titles, lyrics, BPM, folder structure, and any cover images you choose to upload — are synced to our servers so they appear on all your devices.
What we never collect
Audio recordings you make in Cadence stay on your device only and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the Cadence service — authenticating your account and syncing your songs across your devices. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any other purpose.
Where your data is stored
Your account and song data is stored securely on Supabase, hosted in the EU. Cover images are stored in Supabase Storage with the same security guarantees. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and access is restricted by per-account security rules.
Third-party services
We use Supabase for data storage and authentication, and RevenueCat for subscription management. If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider authenticates you and returns a token; we receive only the identifiers needed to create your account. All of these providers are GDPR-compliant. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your email and song data to perform our contract with you (providing the service). Where you contact us for support, we process that correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interest in helping you.
Your rights
- Access, correct, or export the personal data we hold about you.
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time.
- Withdraw consent and object to processing, where applicable.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email hello@brandnamechanges.com. We delete account data within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
Children
Cadence is rated 4+ but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where significant, surfaced in the app.
